NGRAWOOD HAMLET,Plosorejo Village, Randublatung Subdistrict, Blora District, Central Java Province, Indonesia

Ngrawood hamlet located in the  Plosorejo village, Randublatung Subdistrict, Blora District, Central Java Province, Indonesia. From  the Blora district city is about 37 kilometers to the south. And in case of Cepu City about 25 kilometers to the west. To reach the  Ngrawood hamlet using private or public vehicles from Semarang to Blora direction. When you are at the crossroad near the Wirosari bus terminal, you turn right to the Cepu direction, passing through the area Sulur, then after Doplang town about 7 kilometers down in the hamlet Ngampel. Then take the road to the Ngrawood hamlet about 2 kilometers  past the 2 rivers. If you take the train you can get off  in the  Randublatung  or Cepu  train stations and taking public transportation toward the Sulur Sari down in the Ngampel hamlet . 

                                       

When we entered the Ngrawood hamlet, glance not much different from other hamlet in the Randublatung. Start of homes,  residents activities , and the residents main food . Homes, most still walled teak or"kayu jati". Walled house brick and cement may not be up to 10 of about 250 homes / households. Livelihoods of the majority of the population are farmers. A small portion of the population works as military, police, and a smaller portion of the population working as an employee, self-employed, or construction workers  in large cities.

There are things that are interesting if we observe carefully and dig information from the residents, namely:

1. The road link from Telogo to Ngampel hamlet .From the beginning until now the course has not changed is arguably better. Roadwork of  Blora government can not be felt until a few months , the road was damaged again especially if the rainy season. But the residents is already feeling grateful after road repairs and construction of bridges. For them, the important roads and bridges impassable.
2.  Many young people are interested in becoming a military or police.In this village has a lot of young men and women has resulted in becoming members of the military or police.  When asked to school children in this village, especially the youth of his goals after graduating from high school or equivalent, the answer is most military or police. But there are also girls who are interested in this job. From the information that  to be a member of the military or the police will cost tens to hundreds of millions of rupiah. In 2014 there were women who had become a policewoman spent  more than 300 million rupiah.What is surprising to me that residents who work as farmers, they are so easy to get that much money. Indeed they are willing to sell the rice fields, homes, livestock or any property to enroll their children into a police or military. Most of them assume if their children learn in college and after graduation not certain get a good job. Same also for businesses, If the money to open a business is not certain that children can manage the business well.  
   
   
   
   
3. Cooperation or "gotong royong" is still very awake.nIf there is one more family troubles, had intent or purpose. Neighbors next door who has a breadth of time or could, did not hesitate to help without being asked or receiving payment. Examples build the house, planting or harvesting rice, corn, soybeans and tobacco, they help each other. For example, the A once helped the B in harvest rice for 2 days, turn the B helps the A in the  harvest rice for 3 days, then the new A reimburse for daily assistance to the B with money or crops. Sometimes some are not willing to be given money or crops by reason of the voluntary assistance. Extraordinar.
4. There are two groups of players gamelan accompaniment or tayub art called "panjak". It turned out that the villagers still preserve the  tayub art which is the one of Blora traditional arts . Designation famous for arts groups first stand that "Panjak Ngrawood Tua" and next to that is "Panjak Ngrawood Nom". Until now the tayub art   still exsis compete with modern art. Both groups gig schedule is very croud, especially in the months people have urination. Not only in the surrounding  of Blora, ivent schedules  even  to Riau Sumatra. Including pesinden(java traditional singer) taken directly from Blora. For children who want to learn to be panjak, senior panjak and junior panjak have ready to teach them. Hopefully  tayub art will never displaced by modern art from western countries. It depends on the younger generation want to preserve the  tayub art or not.            
5. Plosorejo Village no location.In the administration of the village Plosorejo that includes or is in charge of several  hamlets that  Gedong, north Ngampel, south Ngampel, Mbaru, Ngrawood, Ngrapah, Telogo and Wangon  hamlet. But the location and existence of Plosorejo village itself is unknown.
6. Ngrawood is a unique name. Ngrawood name reminds us of the famous city in west Los Angeles, California,US, it is Hollywood, And the one of India film industry is Bollywood. Name Ngrawood according to stories handed down in earlier times there were two people who fight each other in this place claw-scratches or grawud-grawudan in Java language. Then by the trustee the place was given a name Ngrawood. Or it could be Ngrawood  name is taken from the name of a Ngara timber or Ngara wood. Finally to be Ngrawood
